At TJ’s Fine Jewelry, we’ve been a trusted name in fine jewelry since 2007. What began as a passion for creating beautiful pieces has grown into a cornerstone of our community, offering exceptional craftsmanship, timeless designs, and personalized service. 

Our dedication to quality and our customers’ satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that each visit is as special as the jewelry we create.

Born and raised in the Northeast corner of Missouri, TJ has now lived in Southern Illinois for over 20 years and considers it his home. He gained experience with jewelry working as a manager for K’s Merchandise for 13 years. After they closed, TJ worked as a district manager for Kay’s Jewelers for 2 years before opening his own store.

TJ values customer satisfaction above all else. He enjoys working one-on-one and is genuinely interested in connecting on a personal level with all of his clients. With over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the industry, TJ can turn a potentially intimidating or scary purchase into a smooth, friendly, and exciting experience.

TJ has four beautiful children – three girls and one boy. He can often be found cheering his girls on at soccer or volleyball games during the evenings or on weekends. In his free time, TJ enjoys traveling to tropical getaways, dining out to new restaurants, and supporting the local Southern Illinois community.

With over 30 years of experience at the bench, Jimmy is a trustworthy and skilled jeweler. He began his journey at Pind’s Jewelry in Cape Girardeau. After gaining experience there, he spent 10 years as the head jeweler at K’s Merchandise. After K’s, he was the in-house jeweler for Rogers Jewelry in Cape before finally joining our team at TJ’s. Jimmy has now been our go-to guy for over 10 years.

Not only a talented jeweler, Jimmy can often be spotted talking with our customers. He is passionate about the jewelry left in his care, and he doesn’t mind taking the time to explain to customers what he is doing and why. Always ambitious, Jimmy has never been known to back away from a challenging task. Jimmy has one son who currently resides in Colorado. In his downtime, he is an avid cyclist.

Originally from Central Illinois, Theresa relocated to Southern Illinois for school and earned a BA from SIU. Although she is the youngest member of TJ’s team, Theresa is passionate about learning, and her appreciation for jewelry grows every day. She takes pride in helping and providing excellent customer service whenever she can. And while she always enjoys finding unique pieces, she thinks the story behind a piece of jewelry is the most interesting part. 

She has an eye for the small details and a genuine ability to find beauty in everything. Theresa considers herself an avid foodie and an animal lover, and she enjoys traveling to music festivals.

Our in-store jeweler, Jim Summers, affectionately known as "Jimmy the Jeweler," brings over 25 years of experience as a bench jeweler. Specializing in the repair of gold, silver, and platinum, Jim ensures that all repairs are completed on-site, allowing for personalized service and quality control. While your repair is in our store, it is fully covered under our Jewelers Mutual Insurance, giving you peace of mind. We also provide FREE estimates on any jewelry inquiries you may have.
